As we watch more and more of Shakespeare's movie i am surprised at the ways he writes and it is a lot easier to understand than i thought i would be. It is not hard to get used to though, this is because it is easy to relate it to other movies i have seen, and it uses lots of humor that i can understand. However there are somethings that are harder about it. Such as the two meanings to the words and all the people have weird names that you cant remember.
A part that surprised me in this movie was the setting and the variety of props. It was weird to see bikes with lights in what looked like and 1800 setting in a small village. Also the humor and writing of Shakespeare surprised me, i thought it would be much more proper but there is stuff that is in movies now days like sex and nudity. Even though this movie is kinda weird and hard to follow i am very excited to start reading Romeo and Juliet next week. I think i will enjoy it very much because i enjoy good writing and interesting love stories.

hey drew, i a think you had some good points. The bike part when they just popped out of no where with there little lights. The movie had lots of humor also that made it easier for me to understand like you said. And the funny part was when you thought it was funny that they had sex and nudity in the movie to be more proper.

I agree with you that A Midsummer Night's Dream is actually a pretty funny and good movie. I am interested in reading Romeo and Juliet aswell. i also said that the names were confusing but i think it adds to the setting and sometimes the mood. i thought that the props and setting were very well done however it is interesting that there are bikes. The book shouldn't be to hard to understand especially after watching this movie.
